Intersect Australia is delighted to welcome the University of South Australia (UniSA) as the latest full member of Intersect. The membership application was approved at the December meeting of the Intersect Board and takes effect from January 1, 2022.
Through membership, Intersect will place a full-time, professional eResearch Analyst on campus to deliver a suite of services designed to enhance research productivity through the application of advanced information technology. The eResearch Analyst becomes a local point of contact for the extensive and diverse range of research support experience provided by the whole Intersect Services Team, backed by the research-specific technical specialist in IT systems, operations, and engineering. Members also get extensive access to one of the largest digital research training programs in the country – over 6,000 people were trained in more than 300 courses in 2021.
For the University of South Australia, a focus for the Intersect membership will be on building researcher capability and providing researcher support in high-performance computing and related technologies, as the university seeks to develop computational skills across the full range of its research disciplines.
