Following excellent feedback, Intersect's training program becomes fully operational online and launches a new fully open Research Technology Webinar Series

Intersect has been working with universities to increase researcher’s digital research skills for over 10 years. As a not-for-profit, member organisation, Intersect trained over 3800 researchers in 2019.

In the last three months, we have revised our entire training catalogue to enable us to deliver training in live, online sessions; opening up our world-class training to university research staff and higher degree research students on a national basis. We are now able to readily supply live, online training in digital research technologies, including R, Python, REDCap, Qualtrics, and many others, to member and non-member universities across Australia.

We shared some of our experience in a webinar hosted by the Australian Research Data Commons. Our initial assessment, via participant feedback, shows our online training to be just as effective as our in-person training.

Finally, we are delighted to introduce a new series of research technology webinars, openly available at no charge, and suitable for students, researchers, and professional staff. The series will commence on July 14 with Start Coding without Hesitation – Programming Languages Showdown, in which we explore four of the most popular programming languages in academia: Python, R, MATLAB, and Julia. If you would like to participate in the seminar, please register now.
