Intersect attempts to align with GDPR best practices though we do not claim compliance.
We have not seen a requirement for this from any customer, and we consider the relevant Australian legislation as being applicable governing law. Specifically, the Privacy Act 1988, Privacy Regulation 2013 and Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches) Act 2017.
Whilst recognising the importance of GDPR in moving privacy standards forward, we are unaware of any applicable international legal precedent and/or Australian Government ruling as far as the reach of the GDPR as of 2019. We do not have EU members, do not market our SpaceTime services to any EU customer, and maintain a watching legal brief on the claimed catchment of organisations that transact with EU citizens in Australia.
